International Field Work Experience
- 2017: Turrialba, Costa Rica. Designed and developed an independent research proposal on soil carbon stock estimation in climate smart coffee farms. Carried out fieldwork on CATIE's coffee agroforestry experimental plots. Estimated soil organic carbon stocks under sustainable coffee farms up to 1m depth in soil. Collaborated with the University of Costa Rica to obtain soil export permits
- 2016: Chikmagalur, India. Laid out experimental design for soil carbon estimation in a coffee agroforest. Carried out soil sampling up to 1m depth, processed soil samples and analyzed them as a part of primary field work
- 2012: Kampala, Uganda. Designed clean cook stove for rural communities and advocated sustainable practices among rural Ugandan communities. Tutored on waste management practices and importance of homegarden systems
- 2011: Sundarbans, India. Assessed local perception on rising sea level and developed vulnerability indices for Indian Sundarbans – UNESCO world heritage site. Estimated decadal shore line losses in ten vulnerable islands of the Indian Sundarbans
